Remarks on the Propagation of 10.2 KHZ Electromagnetic Waves: The Effects of Bearing, Total Magnetic Field Strength, Dip Angle of the Magnetic Field, and Ground Conductivity.

Abstract

Remarks in this note are an outgrowth of the Omega fit of January 1968 forming the basis of skywave corrections for use beginning in April 1968. This note is extremely preliminary in nature and includes not only recent experimental results but also an exercise in curve fitting built upon some of the full wave solutions obtained from the NELC Computer Program. Conductivity variations are based upon daytime propagation; otherwise, all results consider only propagation at night. (Author)
