Optical Angle-Measuring Attachment to the Test Stand for Calibration of Quartz Gravimeters by the Tilt Method (Opticheskaya Uglomernaya Pristavka k Stendu dlya Etalonirovaniya Kvartsevykh Gravimetrov Metodom Naklona),

Abstract

The article contains the description of a new method for determination of the deflection angle of the plate of a test stand for calibration of gravimeters by tilting. It permits the measurement of angles within the limits of several degrees, with an error providing calibration in the range of plus or minus 100 mgal with an accuracy of plus or minus 0.01 mgal. The method is based on a mull circuit for measuring the tilt angle of the test stand's plate by increasing the measured angle and, consequently, the permissible measurement error, with the aid of a triple-mirror multiplier, which is the main assembly of an optical attachment, where in addition there is an ADT-1000 autocollimator and a reading device of the type of the OT-02 theodolite's horizontal circle. The indicated method permits measurement of the tilt angle directly in angular measure, with an accuracy that exceeds the accuracy of goniometers in use at present. (Author)
