Catalysis of Hydrocarbon Oxidation with Adsorbed Layers.

Abstract

The research is concerned with the development of the propane-oxygen fuel cell. The oxidation of C3H8 at Pt electrodes in H3PO4 containing Ni(2+) was studied further using both half-cells and complete fuel cells at 130C. Possible reasons for the differences in observed effect between the various electrode structures are discussed. (Author)
