Review of Individual Calling Systems in Radio Communications,

Abstract

The author describes the principles underlying various methods of individual, open and selective, calling by means of frequency, time-frequency, and pulse coding along with their classification. The use of these codes in mobile radio communications on land and at sea is reviewed. An analysis is made of the capacity of a radiotelephone network, of call reliability, and of receiver insensitivity to spurious signals. (Author)
