Effect of a Magnetic Field on the Heat Exchange of a Bingham Liquid,

Abstract

It is shown that heat exchange is considered at plane laminar magnetohydrodynamic flow of the Bingham liquid in a channel with nonconductive walls. Solution of the energy equation is obtained for completely developed flow at short circuit and no load operation of the channel. The dependence of the Nu criterion on Hartmann's number is analyzed at different values of the quasi solid zone width of the flow and at thermal load on the channel walls with and without considering the Joulean and the visco plastic dissipation.
