Shock Tube with a Diffuser near Diaphragm,

Abstract

A consideration is given of various models of the gas flow in a shock tube with a diffuser in the range of low shock wave mach numbers. Expressions are derived which relate the shock wave intensity to the initial conditions in the high and low pressure chambers. A brief review is presented of the special features of the design of a device of this type. The preliminary experimental data obtained are compared with theoretical estimates.
