Determining the Optimum Parameters of Paths Based on Processing Experimentally Registered Pulse Signals,

Abstract

The authors proposed a different approach to the determination of the waveform of a pulsed signal propagating over the earth's surface. In this approach the initial data are not prescribed signals, but signals obtained as a result of the experiment. It is assumed that limited information is available concerning the initial parameters, and the latter must be determined in optimal fashion. The problem is solved for a source emitting a pulse signal or a sequence of signals of arbitrary shape, and a number of receivers which record this signal. (Author)
