On the Possibility of Producing a CO2 Laser with a Pumped Electron Beam,

Abstract

The possibility of producing a high amplification ratio laser in gaseous media with a pumped beam of charged particles is considered. A CO2 pulsed laser is studied when a bunch of electrons with energy E approximately equal to 0.5 Mev is introduced across the discharge interval.
