The Design of a Selector Disc for the Choice of Decompression Tables Following Helium-Oxygen Dives.

Abstract

The most used and most practical of the United States Navy decompression tables for helium-oxygen diving have been arranged in the form of a circular slide rule. The slide rule eliminates, at least in part, several undesirable features of the present tables, namely the bulk, the complexity, and the long time required in selecting the proper decompression.
