Mechanical Processes in Soils during the Freezing of the Liquid Phase (Mekhanicheskie Protessy v Gruntakh pri Zamerzanii v nikh Zhidkol Fazy),

Abstract

The present work is an account of the investigations made by the author on the dynamics of the process of freezing of argillaceous soils. Soils have been examined, with their pores completely filled with water, for which the author introduces the term 'water-filled soils' in contradistinction to the widely known but less universal term 'water-saturated soils'.
