Tables of Absorption and Velocity of Sound in Still Air at 68 F (20 C)

Abstract

Tables are presented for the absorption and velocity of sound in still air at 68F (20C). The absorption is presented in dB/1000 ft, dB/Km, and dB/sec. The velocity is presented in 1000 ft/sec. The tables cover the frequency range of 12 Hz - 1 MHz and for relative humidities of 0% - 100%. An appendix is included which presents analytical expressions that will duplicate the tables within 3% over all frequencies and humidities.
