A New Perspective of Photoemission from Gold,

Abstract

Measurements of the photoelectron energy distribution from gold indicate spatial spatial anisotropies of the emission even for evaporated films. In particular, relative emission intensities of the d-band doublet appear to depend on the emission angle. Similar observations are found for the emission dependence on the angle of incidence of photons. (Author)
