The Solubility of Hydrocarbons of Various Structure in Methane,

Abstract

Literature data on the solubility of hydrocarbons in methane were analyzed. The dependence was discussed of the minumum concentration of hydrocarbon in a given mixture of temperature and the hydrocarbon vapor pressure, and of the pressure of the maximum condensation of binary hydrocarbon given mixtures on temperature. Deviation of hydrocarbon given mixtures from ideal behavior is characterized by a coefficient connected with the fugacity and activity of the hydrocarbon in the gas and liquid phases. (Author)
