Study of the Radiative Capacity of Oxides and Concretes in the Infrared Region of the Spectrum,

Abstract

The authors study the radiative capacity of refractory oxides and concrete in the infrared region of the spectrum (5 mu wave length) at high temperatures (1500 to 2000 degrees K). A description of the research procedure is given which is based on the simultaneous and instananeous determination of actual temperature by the reflection method and temperature brightness in the infrared region of the spectrum by the black body comparison method.
