High-Stability Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator Study (HSTCXO).

Abstract

The objective of this study is the development of a high-stability temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (HSTCXO), capable of being produced in quantity for use in advanced SSB communications equipment. Primary characteristics of the HSTCXO are small size, low poer, minimal warmup time, and frequency-temperature stability of plus or minus 5pp 10 to the 8th power from -40 to 80C. A well-delineated compensation procedure is to be included in the development, and three exploratory HSTCXO's are to be fabricated to validate the procedure. (Author)
