The Implementation of a Dynamic Radar Cross Section Measuring Technique.

Abstract

The instrumentation of a Mk-25 Radar Fire Control System to perform radar cross section measurements of airborne targets on a pulse-to-pulse basis is described. Instrumented signals available within the radar are conditioned, recorded on magnetic tape, and forward for digital computer processing. A discussion of this radar cross section measurement method, a description of its implementation and assessment of its validity are presented. (Author)
