A Computer Algorithm for Fault-Tree Analysis.

Abstract

The contents of the paper include a computer algorithm for quantitative fault-tree analysis and a manual algorithm for detecting and eliminating fault-tree dependencies possibly arising out of transfer functions, along with worked examples pertaining to the algorithms. It is desirable that the reader have a fundamental knowledge of fault-tree analysis and probabilistic set theory. (Author)
