The Effectiveness of Tactual, Visual, and Auditory Warning Signals under Conditions of Auditory and Visual Loading.

Abstract

An experimental tactual warning device was constructed. The device was tested in an experiment which compared the effectiveness of tactual, visual, and auditory warnings under conditions of auditory and visual loading. The results indicate that a tactual warning device can function effectively as an attention demanding signal under such conditions.
