Vacuum Testing of Concrete Pipes for Watertightness (Issledovanie Vodonepronitsaemosti Betonnykh Trub).

Abstract

Research was performed to develop test methods to check the water tightness of concrete pipes. The method is based on the equivalence of air infiltration to water exfiltration, the air infiltration being produced by creating a vacuum within the pipe under test.
