Environmental Design Guide for Post Office Equipment.

Abstract

The report specifies the accpetable environmental ranges that should exist in United States post offices. It is necessary that post office equipment conform to these environmental specifications in order to maintain a safe and comfortable work environment for post office employees. If these environmental specifications are maintained in post offices, then personnel and equipment are better able to perform at maximum levels of efficiency. The environmental parameters specified in this report are temperature, humidity, air velocity, illumination, noise, vibrations, air contamination, and environmental safety. Some methods to measure these parameters and methods to reduce or eliminate problems associated with them are included.
