Question of Experimentally Determining Certain Parameters for the Durability of Slide Bearings with Bushings Made of Plastic,

Abstract

The coefficients of friction of the title bearings were determined and the results of a theoretical investigation in this field were proven by means of a special stand enabling changes of slide rate and of radial loading during measurements at temperatures less than or equal to 70 degrees. The friction coefficients in the cases of both irregular and drop lubrication for plastic steel 45 couples (the plastic being kapron, resin 68, or polyformaldehyde) were determined.
