Empirical Formulas for Aerodynamic Coefficients of Blunted Cones in a Rarefied Gas,

Abstract

For cones with given spherical blunting and given half flare angle, the dependence of aerodynamic coefficients upon angle of attack alpha obtained in experiment, in a sufficiently broad range of Reynolds and Mach numbers Re and M can be approximated by tabular probability functions. The values of coefficients are examined only as a selection from the totality of random variables with unknown probability characteristics.
