Thermal Conductivity of Chiatura Manganese Concentrates and Their Pelletized Products,

Abstract

An installation was developed for the determination of thermal conductivity. It is based on the quasi-stationary mode of heating. The coefficients of thermal conductivity of Chiatura manganese concentrates and products of their pelletizing were determined in the temperature range of 100-900 degrees C. It was established that the nature of change of lambda from the temperature of the investigated materials, besides carbonate, is identical - thermal conductivity increases with an increase in temperature, especially above 500 degrees C, when the fraction of thermal radiation increases.
