Analysis of the Effect of Lubricating Conditions on Conditions of the Appearance of Vibrations in Cam-Operated Mechanisms of Machine Tools,

Abstract

Results are presented of investigations of the effect of lubricating conditions on the efficiency of cam and jaw mechanisms. The minimal thickness of the oil film, which ensures smoothness of sliding and which was measured by the electric method, is used as an index of the effectiveness of the lubrication process. It is established, that in order to ensure smooth sliding, and oil fim of not less than 0.15-2.0 mu m is necessary in the zone of contact.
