Abstract

The article concerns the development of communication systems between the subscriber (user) and the electronic digital computer. Information IO devices are briefly described that are typical of computers operating in a mode of stacking processing. Concise data are given about a device for the direct input of data from formalized documents (printed form type). Further development is traced of devices for the exchange of information between man and computer in connection with setting up a mode for the automatic distribution of machine time among many users. Terminal consoles are examined with visual images both of alphabetical digital and other diverse graphic information. An example is given of analyzing a nonlinear electric circuit using graphic information IO devices. (Author)
