Development of a Laboratory for Investigation of Mechanical Properties of Sedimentary Rocks.

Abstract

Two triaxial testing machines have been constructed. These machines are suitable for examining the mechanical properties of rocks under conditions similar to those in the outer 30,000 feet of the earth's crust. The testing machine and calibrations are described. (Author)
