The Effect of Vibration Frequency on Static Friction,

Abstract

The effect of vibration of elements of a friction pair on the coefficient of static friction is considered. An experiment carried out for three friction pairs on a special stand at frequencies from 500 to 800 hertz is described. The results of the experiment verify the necessity of considering the dynamic characteristics of friction.
