Experimental and Theoretical Investigation of Gravitation.

Abstract

Owing to the universal character of gravitation it is involved in all parts of physics. Furthermore, because of the great weakness of gravitation on an atomic scale, the experimental investigation of relativistic gravitation requires large bodies. During the past year, the sun, the crab nebula pulsar, the galaxies and clusters of galaxies have been among the gravitationally bound objects studied.
