Experiments on the Josephson Junction Amplifier.

Abstract

Experiments are reported on the Josephson junction amplifier. The authors obtained a minimum signal level of 3.5 x 10 to the minus 11 power volt/(Hz) to the 1/2 power for a bias resistance r sub s = 7.2 mohms. Various modes of oscillation of the junction and of the f.m. noise associated with them are discussed. (Author)
