Linear Indifference Contracting for Maintainability and Reliability.

Abstract

The paper presents an incentive contracting plan for Reliability and Maintainability based on the life cycle support cost of the item. The contract is lot for the system with the lowest life cycle support cost. The purchase price is determined by the field performance of the equipment. The concept for consumer indifference to field performance is incorporated and thereby leads to no rejection of the product. (Author)
