Maintenance Time Comparison of Transistors Versus Tubes.

Abstract

The paper contains a maintenance time comparison between tubes and transistors. The two parameters used for the comparison are the mean time to repair and the mean time between failures. Distributions for active repair times are calculated for each case and a life cycle maintenance cost is compared for the two cases. (Author)
