A Low-Cost Versatile Subcarrier Oscillator,

Abstract

The report describes the work done on two different types of low-cost, temperature-compensated, telemetry subcarrier oscillators, for high-g telemetry applications. One type is a standard dual voltage-controlled oscillator designed to operate in the plus or minus 15 percent deviation channels A through H. Six of this type were built and tested. The other type is a wide-band voltage-controlled oscillator. In addition, a simple pulse-averaging discriminator was designed and build to complement the wide-band oscillator. The wide-band system provides a 100 Hz to 100 kHz information bandwidth. (Author)
