Transient Structure of an Artificial Radiation Belt.

Abstract

Estimates are derived for the maximum flux (vs. azimuth) as a function of time following the detonation of a single source of radiation-belt electrons. All results are expressed in terms of the azimuthally averaged flux ultimately injected by the one event. (Author)
