The Effects of Waste Disposal in the New York Bight. Section 1. Introduction.

Abstract

The report presents an introduction to reports (AD-739 531 to AD-739 538) describing data on the effects of waste disposal on the marine environment of the New York Bight. The New York Bight is an area 10 miles from New York Harbor where solid waste from the New York City area is dumped. Recommendations for studies on waste disposal practices in the New York Harbor area are given. Also presented is a research plan to further study the area.
