Practical Applications of Advanced Control Theory.

Abstract

The document is written in an effort to illustrate some of the problems involved in the design of control systems for chemical processes and to present approaches that can be taken to overcome these problems. Adaptive control, nonlinear control, optimal control, direct digital control, and multivariable control are discussed with the emphasis on applying them to typical chemical processes. (Author)
