Theory and Experience Concerning Environmental Effects on Thermocouple Calibrations.

Abstract

The report presents a comprehensive discussion of the thermodynamics and solid state theories of thermoelectric couples employed as thermometers. It also includes a discussion of the available published literature and data on environmental and aging effects for the alloy pairs: chromel-alumel, iron-constantan, and copper-constantan. (Author)
