Seismicity of Mendocino Escarpment-Gorda Ridge Region.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to study in more detail the earthquakes in Northern California using enhanced recording facilities. The main interest was in the regional seismicity related to the tectonics of the region of the San Andreas fault-Gorda and Mendocino escarpments-Cascade and Klamath Mountains; the regional crustal structure related to earthquake depth and mechanism; and the seismic risk of Northern California.
