Transtage ACS Valve Storage Tests.

Abstract

The Transtage attitude control valves (Moog, Inc., series redundant, monopropellant Model No. 60-315A) are presently being subjected to a 5-year storage test to determine performance degradation versus storage time. The report covers the results of repeat baseline water-flow testing (after 3 years ambient storage) on three of the original nine valves. It also includes the test results in gaseous nitrogen of four additional valves after their third year of storage in the overall 5-year ambient storage period. Tests were conducted to determine pressure-drop/water-flow characteristics, pull-in/drop-out current, response, and internal/external leakage. (Author)
