The Metallurgy of Dilute Mischmetal Mg Alloys as Observed in 40mm Liners.

Abstract

Phase transformations in 95M were studied. Three transformation sequences which occur in 95M depending upon the cooling rate were studied. Explanations of the reasons for the sequences are presented. The use of the phase transformation information for improving mechanical properties is indicated and evidence to support the resulting viewpoint is presented. (Author)
