New Results in Replacement Strategies.

Abstract

A new adaptive replacement algorithm for use in paged memory computer systems is presented and described. The simulation results indicate that the new algorithm which is dynamically reconfigurable during system operation, is on the average significantly better than the best heuristic schemes. This algorithm, which can be easily implemented with present state-of-the-art digital hardware may be used very effectively in structures with very stringent speed requirements. (Author)
