High Energy Capacitors for Moderate Repetition Rate.

Abstract

Capacitors of metallized coated PET, metallized coated polycarbonate, and metallized coated polysulfone were constructed and measured for capacitance, dissipation factor and leakage current at various temperatures (-40, 25, 40, and 85 C). Breakdown tests were conducted. Capacitors of various design were charge- discharge life tested for 100,000 cycles or failure. Special test equipment for charge- discharge evaluation testing was fabricated, installed and placed into use. (Author, modified-PL)
