Influence on the Inertia of Lubricating Fluid on the Load-Carrying Capacity of Thrust Slide Bearings,

Abstract

The solution of the three-dimensional problem of hydrodynamic theory of lubrication is discussed considering inertial terms. The method of expansion in terms of the small parameter was used in the solution; the given Reynolds number was used as the small parameter. Using the computer and a finite difference method, the pressure distribution over the thrust cushion field was determined in the first approximation.
