Abstract

A review account is presented of the study of the grammatical structure of the Russian language. Initially word-formation is broken down into three historical periods. This is followed by the history of the study of Russian morphology and syntax. The account is based on the trends and concepts of various Soviet linguists and grammarians. (Author)
