Peripheral Afferent Cutaneous Information and the Control of Voluntary Motor Activity.

Abstract

The present study was instituted to examine the importance of the cutaneous receptors in the initiation and control of fine motor activity, particularly in respect to predictions made by Mott, Sherrington, and Twitchell based on their dorsal root ablation studies.
