Electro-Optic Light Modulator Material by THM

Abstract

The experimental work discussed in the report is mostly concerned with the synthesis of the 2-4 V2 compounds, and the regrowth of the synthesized material by the traveling heater method (THM). Efforts to grow cinnabar by THM were continued with some success. Hydrothermal growth of cinnabar has been started. It is planned to continue a run for 2 to 3 months. Work on Bi4Ti3O12 was continued.
