Abstract

The report defines an admixtures as: 'A material other than water, aggregates, and hydraulic cement that is used as an ingredient of concrete and is added to the batch immediately before or during mixing.' The report classifies admixtures in 15 categories: accelerators; water reducers, and set controllers; grouting, admixtures; air-entraining admixtures; air-detaining admixtures; etc.
