A Structural Stability-Mechanical Behavior Correlation in Eutectic Al-CuAl(2)

Abstract

Attention is directed to the effects of physiocochemical instability and the associated structural changes on the ambient temperature mechanical behavior of lamellar Al-CuAl2. A detailed correlation is made of tensile yielding, flow, and fracture morphology.
