18-Megacycle Cosmic-Noise Intensities 1 December 1959 to 31 January 1960

Abstract

The purpose of the program is to detect the occurrence of solar flares indirectly by the associated effect on the transmission properties of the ionosphere. The effect is to decrease suddenly the transmissivity of the ionosphere to produce a sudden cosmic-noise absorption (SCNA).
