Torsion of an Elastic Half Space Weakened by a Plane Circular Crack (Kruchenie Uprugogo Poluprostranstva, Oslablennogo Ploskoi Krugloi Shchelyu),

Abstract

The axisymmetrical problem of torsion of an elastic half space weakened by a circular crack from a flat circular stamp is studied. It is assumed that the crack is not loaded. The influence of the crack on the distribution of tangential forces under the stamp is studied, as well as the problem of concentration of tangential stresses as the edges of the crack are approached. The problem is solved by the paired integral equations method. (Author)
