Game Playing. the Ancient Game of GO

Abstract

The paper contains a description of a game playing program which plays the game of GO. The paper discusses the strategy and approach used by the program. The primary objective of the project was to develop a game playing program that would generate moves which would be considered intelligent if made by a human being. A brief description of previous approaches to game playing is given with a comparison between these approaches and those used by the program.
